| Almería...
the easternmost province of Andalucía with over 3,000 hours
of sunshine and temperate winters, superb weather for a
relaxing holiday.
Almería
has its own beach just east of the city, but in the province
are a wealth of superb beaches; the superb Cabo de Gata
and Parque Natural with its secluded beaches and coves lie
to the east of the city. To the west lies Roquetas del Mar
and Almerimar providing a huge variety of watersports and
sea fishing and a myriad of golf courses and accommodation.
To
the northwest lies Los Millares an ancient site thought
to be Spain’s first metalworking culture. Also inland are
Mini Hollywood where the “Spaghetti Westerns” were made
and Texas Hollywood which not only has a western town but
a Mexican pueblo and Indian tepees.
The
city of Almería is quite diverse and offers many museums
and historical buildings. Almería offers a wealth of activities
for the holiday maker and caters for every age group.
The airport is only a 20 minute drive from the city centre
and exits on to the N30 motorway that circles the city making
travelling very easy. The port provides regular sailings
to Nadar in the northeast of Morocco. |
