The History of the Villa The main house was originally a finca, owned by an architect who then expanded certain areas of the house, building a two-storey part which now houses the bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. However, what really makes this house unique is that he installed some very unusual antique features which cannot be replicated anywhere, and which make the villa something to be loved and cared for - not just a show home. A hanging fireplace, built-in corner lights with original moroccan glass, heavy oak doors and pretty archways are just some of the features. See the photos page for more detail. The property also has a “casita” or annex house, with a Repunzle-like tower, giving the property its name. The casita is perfect for visitors, rentals or even for in-laws! The Garden and Orchard The established gardens have been really cared for by the current owner, who has managed to create a stunningly natural haven of all year round flowers, trees and shrubs. The pool is another unique feature, as it is surrounded by beautiful antique tiling. The orchard at the back of the house has a manageable selection of fruit trees including avocado, grapefruit, lemon, orange, nectarine, olive, mango and almond. There is also an area up the top of the garden that could be considered for building on. Where is it? The villa is located a short drive inland from the beach and from Estepona Town. Estepona is an old fishing port which gradually expanded over the years but unlike many parts of the Costa del Sol, managed to hold on to its Spanish traditional roots, character and identity. The location is perfect as both the coast road (the N340) and the motorway, linking you to Malaga and Gibraltar airports (45 minutes to both) are close by (but out of earshot).
